The High Prophet of Truth plotted to eventually replace the Sangheili with the Jiralhanae, as he saw the latter as more willing and unquestioning pawns. This changing attitude towards mankind who were deemed heretical along with the faliure to safeguard a holy "Sacred Ring", further perpetuated San'Shyuum distrust toward the Sangheili. ![]() As the war had waged on, some Sangheili questioned the need to exterminate humanity instead of welcoming them into the Covenant, given humanity's strength as a tenacious species and occasional displays of honor. Intending to prevent the Covenant from falling apart and losing power, the High Prophet of Truth secretly made plans to eject the entire Sangheili species from the hegemony, viewing them as untrustworthy and doubting their reliability and loyalty. With this history of troublesome influential Sangheili well documented among the High Prophets, the threat the Sangheili posed was made even more apparent during the Human-Covenant War in 2552, when Sesa 'Refumee's heretic faction spread information about the Great Journey being false. As such, the San'Shyuum High Prophets perceived these influential Sangheili as a threat to their authority, and would send them on suicidal missions decorated under the honorary guise of Arbiters to discretely remove their threatening presence. Discovering such a truth would falsify the Covenant religion and shatter the empire along with its power structure. įor centuries over the course of the history of the Covenant, various high ranking Sangheili with great influence would use their power to ask questions, eventually coming close to discovering the truth about the Forerunners. The Sangheili threatened San'Shyuum power, while the Jiralhanae threatened Sangheili power. The conflict went down in Sangheili history as the Great Betrayal, its deep wounds continuing to stir animosity between their kind and the Jiralhanae for years to come. For the UNSC, it served as a major turning point that led to the end of the war after their disastrous defeat on Reach. The Schism marked both the end of the Covenant and the partition of its client species for a thousand years. The deciding battles were fought between the Sangheili Fleet of Retribution allied with the UNSC against the High Prophet of Truth and his remnants of the Covenant on the Ark. The Flood additionally played a tertiary role, when they took over the holy city in an effort to assimilate the other warring factions. Battles during the Schism took place all throughout Covenant space, most prominently on High Charity, the heart of the alien empire. The High Prophet of Truth ordered the extermination of the entire Sangheili species, forcing them out of the Covenant. The Great Schism, also known as the Covenant Schism, was a major civil war between the forces loyal to the Covenant (led by the San'Shyuum and the Jiralhanae) against the Covenant separatists (the Sangheili and their followers), which split apart on November 3, 2552. and for that, they must die!" - Sangheili on Installation 05 what have these Brutes done? The Fortress also has a slight variation between leaders Special units are trained from the War Council, and each leader has a different special unit. You don't have to reach level 3 for the other special units though. You will need to reach level 3 with your unit building base in order to bring in the Scarab. I generally just built all units from the base closest to the enemy AI in case I wanted to wipe them out afterwards. You can easily do this in a Skirmish against an Easy AI pick any map, Deathmatch, turn Fog of War off, resources to max, and just build on all the bases then put a few turrets and shields on each base, build up your extractors and harvesters, then focus on building every unit. If you prefer a far less stressful way of doing it though, just follow the original idea: UPDATE: This is FAR easier to do in a strongholds match-assuming you survive long enough to get T3 units, but that doesn't take long and as long as you're trying to capture stuff actively, you won't get wiped out! It's somewhere around 5 minutes until T3 units are unlocked in Strongholds, and then you could build every type of unit. ![]()
